1955 Warner Brothers Studio, Burbank, California. An unconscious female, twenty-something, almost had her head crushed by the wheel of a black 1953 Jag XK120. Gravel, hay and pink petals embedded in the bloody wound on her head. Not one of those items are anywhere on the lot. The horrific wound was that of a horseshoe which became evident in the ER. Dying twice during surgery, Jane Doe is doomed with post-traumatic amnesia, possible brain damage and most likely death.

Meanwhile, Joc Butler, Jag owner, and acclaimed Western super-star of the television series, Durango Trail, is granted guardianship of the young woman after she awakes from her coma. Together they embark on a journey that defies every logical norm. Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Dr. Alistair Theodore Rothchild uncovers the identity of his new patient. Through state-of-the-art hypnosis, and dream states, Jane Doe is actually Claire, but Claire, who?”

Joc and Claire are thrust into a journey of love, loss, discovery, sexual desire, and deception. In 1975 Claire disappears from their Aspen home in Colorado, standing only feet from Joc. Today, decades later, she will be reintroduced to him, by their son, Luke Blake Butler at the Rancho Caravanserai in Tucson, Arizona.

Joc now seventy years old, and his three sons in their forties; armed with DNA proof confirms thirty-something, Claire is their mother, and Joc’s wife. Unchanged, unravaged, and unforgiven, Claire doesn’t know any of them… Until she does.

AFIF BENBADRA

a biography

This French actor, Afif Benbadra, of Algerian decent is analogous to an “Ideal-Cut” diamond. The love he holds for his family is the "Table Facet," the largest and brightest; the window into the very soul of the gem. The almost invisible part of the diamond is the “Girdle.” These circumference facets are the anchor between film-star, and mortal man.

Following are the "Crown Facets," descending from the Girdle Facet. Their glint, and sparkle; gleam Afif’s brilliance as a charismatic, multi-faceted actor and musician. “Ben,” as his friends call him, is a excellent horseman, a consummate musician, and a  death-defying stuntman.

The supporting facets at the bottom are the "Pavilion Facets." Scintillating, and radiating upward, reinforce his unyielding devotion to exposing government transgressions; animal welfare, our environment, and social injustice.

The “Culet",” the point, is me, striving to spin a story worthy of the remarkable man, husband, father and friend…

Cleave this rough-hewn crystal, and chisel away his course façade to expose the features of this striking man. Afif is an intelligent, thoughtful, rare, gifted, genuine human being…

AFIF BENBADRAUn acteur charismatique francais, artiste, cascadeur et musician.
